Our prediction for this MLS match:
Buoyed by a 2-1 win over San Jose Earthquakes, FC Dallas will be aiming to keep their 100% record in the 2024 MLS campaign intact when they face CF Montreal. The Toros proved their worth in the season opener and they are seen as favourites to win Sunday’s encounter as well. Even though the likes of Pomykal, Ferreira, Ntsabeleng, Musa, Korca, Farfan, Velasco, and Jesus remain in the recovery room, home win should be considered as Dallas have turned their Toyota Stadium into a real fortress.
The Canadian outfit, on the other hand, had no more than eight goal attempts in a goalless draw with Orlando City, which is yet another reason why we are going to bet on the home side. Finland forward Lassi Lappalainen remains on the sidelines with injury, but he should be the only absentee in the away team.
Highlighted Player (Victor Wanyama):
Over the years Victory Wanyama has established himself as one of the best Kenyan footballers. Wanyama started his senior career at Belgian club Beerschot and after scoring 2 goals in 51 appearances in the league for de Ratten, he moved to Celtic in 2011.
The defensive midfielder, who is very strong in the tackle, decided to leave the Hoops in 2013, signing a deal with Premier League side Southampton for a fee of £12.5 million.During his spell at St. Mary’s Stadium Victory Wanyama established himself as a first-team regular at Southampton and thanks to his thrilling displays with the Saints, Tottenham Hotspur chiefs made a tempting offer for the Kenya international.
In 2016 Wanyama signed a four-year deal with the capital club and he has been playing for Spurs ever since. The Tottenham midfielder was born in Nairobi on June 25, 1991 and he made his international debut for the Kenya national team in a friendly against Nigeria in May, 2007.
Highlighted Team (FC Dallas):
Despite making it to the 2010 MLS Cup final, Dallas eventually failed to win the domestic trophy. The Toros (Bulls) were beaten by Colorado in the final played at BMO Field in Toronto and you should bear in mind that the Rapids scored the winner in the extra time.
That was the first and only time Dallas participated in the MLS Cup final, but in 2016 the club won the Supporters’ Shield and the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. The Toros play their home games at Toyota Stadium, the venue that was opened in August, 2005. The stadium’s original name was Pizza Hut Park, but in September 2013 it was renamed as Toyota Stadium after Pizza Hut Park left as a main sponsor.
FC Dallas wear red shits with white stripes when playing at home, while their secondary colors are white and blue. Former Ajax and River Plate ace Mauro Rosales, who joined the Toyota Stadium outfit in 2016, is regarded as one of the club most significant stars.
