After coming from two goals behind to share the spoils with Nashville, Los Angeles Galaxy will be aiming to return to winning ways in MLS when they face St Louis City on Sunday. LA Galaxy have been scoring goals for fun of late and we are positive that they will stick to their attacking style of play against St Louis City. As Javier Hernandez Chicharito left the club in the last transfer window, a man to keep an eye on in the home team will be Dejan Joveljic, who has already found his goal-scoring touch. Defender Jalen Neal misses out with injury.
The visitors, on the other hand, aim to remain undefeated in the new MLS campaign, but seeing that Steve Cherundolo’s men are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we are tempted to put our money on the home side. St Louis City will be without midfield trio Njabulo Blom – Joshua Yaro – Rasmus Alm in Sunday’s encounter.

Martin Caceres is a widely travelled and well known Uruguayan professional footballer who plays for Juventus. Primarily a central defender, Caceres is known for his tenacity, pace, strength, tackling and aerial ability. He is versatile and can operate as full-back on either sides too. Caceres started his career at Defensor Sporting and became a regular at a very young age.
In 2007, he went to Spanish side Villarreal but never officially appeared for them. He then was snapped up by Barcelona in 2008 for a reported transfer fee of € 16.5 million. But his only season at the Camp Nou was marred with injuries and moved to Juventus in 2012 via a short stop at Sevilla.
Caceres made his full senior team debut in 2007 and was a successful member of the team that won the 2011 Copa America. He also played at the 2014 World Cup and has 68 national caps to his credit.

Los Angeles Galaxy are probably the most famous American soccer club. The club have been participating in the MLS since 1996 and San Jose Earthquakes are considered their bitterest rivals. A number of top-class players were part of the team in the past, but, no doubt, David Beckham is the club’s most significant star. The former Manchester United star played for LA Galaxy from 2007 to 2012 and he scored 18 goals in 98 appearances in the league for the club.
Fellow England international Steven Gerrard is yet another Premier League ace who joined LA Galaxy. Stevie G signed a $9 million deal with the club in June, 2015. One year before he arrived to Los Angeles, the Galaxy won their fifth MLS Cup, with the team beating New England Revolution (2-1) in the final of the tournament, but winning the CONCACAF Champions League in 2000 is considered the club’s biggest success. The MLS outfit outplayed Olimpia of Honduras in the title game, with Ezra Hendrickson scoring the winning goal ten minutes before the final whistle.
