Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Everton play host to Nottingham Forest at their Goodison Park in what is expected to be an interesting relegation six-pointer. The Toffees aim to recover from a massive 6-0 loss to Chelsea and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against the Reds. Midfielder Andre Gomes could come into the side, while both Lewis Dobbin and Dele Alli remain in the recovery room. Dominic Calvert-Lewin could play some part in Sunday’s clash after missing the Stamford Bridge defeat with a minor injury.
Meanwhile, the Reds head into the match following a 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton. As Nottingham Forest are likely to stick to their attacking style of play, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. As for the visiting side, both Taiwo Awoniyi and Willy Boly are out of contention through injuries, while Divock Origi is pushing for a start.
Highlighted Player (Abdoulaye Doucouré):
French international midfielder Abdoulaye Doucour is a bundle of raw energy and a player who was voted Watford’s Player of the Season during the 2017/18 campaign. A deep-lying midfielder who takes part in play build-up from behind is a defensive asset who took time to blossom and announce himself at the international stage. He first burst to prominence at Ligue 1 side Rennes in 2012 after a year with the club’s B side and went on to play 75 league matches and score 12 goals.
Watford bought Doucoure in 2016 but sent him on loan to Granada, where he took part in 15 league matches. Determined to prove his worth in the Premier League, the Frenchman of Mali descent wasted no time in grabbing a starting spot under both Marco Silva and Javi Garcia, respectively, upon his return from Spain.
The total of 38 matches played along with 8 goals scored made Doucoure one of the most sought-after assets in the summer of 2018 but the player remained at Vicarage Road despite reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Highlighted Team (Nottingham Forest):
Nottingham Forest, the club that are often referred to as Forest, were formed in 1865. They have been playing their home games at the City Ground since 1898 and the capacity of the stadium is 30,445. Nottingham Forest are regarded as one of the greatest English clubs as they won the European Cup on two occasions. In 1979 Forest outplayed Malmo (1-0) at the Olympiastadion in Munich in the final of the elite competition, with the team beating Hamburg in 1980 in the title game at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu (1-0).
Nottingham Forest won the national championship in the 1977/1978 season, with the team finishing the campaign seven points clear of second-placed Liverpool. To make things even better for the fans, the City Ground outfit clinched the FA Cup trophies in 1898 and 1959. Derby County are regarded as Forest’s bitterest rivals and the two local rivals contest in the East Midlands derby. In their first ever meeting in the local derby Forest recorded a 3-2 win over Derby County.
