Mallorca
Estadio El Sadar will host Tuesday’s La Liga game between Osasuna and Mallorca. Los Rojillos failed to win the previous five league matches, but their display in a 2-2 draw with Athletic Club is surely fuelling fans with optimism ahead of the visit of Mallorca. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be Raul Garcia, who scored a brace at the weekend, while Pablo Ibanez serves a one-game ban due to the accumulation of yellow cards.
Los Bermellones, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against Las Palmas and they managed to get one thanks to Giovanni Gonzalez’s goal. Mallorca are safe for now and seeing that they should be happy with one point from the midweek clash, we are tempted to bet on draw. It has to be noted that both Vedat Muriqi and Martin Valjent are banned for the match.
Highlighted Player (David Garcia):
David Garcia is a Spanish player who started his youth career at Maspalomas. After making 65 appearances for Vecindario in lower leagues, he joined Las Palmas in 2003. David Garcia is a centre back, but he is capable of playing as a right back if needed. He was born on 25 February, 1982 and it is more than obvious that he dedicated his football career to Las Palmas.
Garcia made his professional debut in September, 2013 in a 2-1 victory at Elche. However, he made no more than seven league appearances for Las Palmas in the 2003/2004 season. David Garcia, though, quickly established himself as a first-team regular and it has to be noted that he played 394 league games for los Amarillos until the 2016/2017 season.
He made 37 appearances for Las Palmas in the 2014/2015 Segunda Division campaign, helping the team secure promotion to the Spanish top flight, but he played no more than 19 games for the club in the 2015/2016 Primera Division campaign. His contract with Las Palmas expires on 30 June, 2017.

Thanks to a win over Deportivo La Coruna in the 2018/2019 Segunda Division play-offs final Mallorca secured promotion to Primera Division. Los Bermellones returned to the Spanish top flight following a six-year absence. Over the years Mallorca have turned their Estadi de son Moix into a real fortress, with the team producing much better showings at home than on the travels.
Opened in June 1999, the venue can hold up to 23,142 people. The club based in Balearic Islands are well known for their red shirts with one black stripe and black shorts. Mallorca’s away colours are white and red. Former Barcelona and Inter ace Samuel Eto’o is undisputedly the most notable footballer who played for the club.
Back in 1999 Mallorca made it to the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup final, with the team suffering a 2-1 loss to Lazio in the title game. Four years later los Bermellones won Spanish Copa del Rey, which is considered the club’s biggest success.
