Our prediction for this Euro 2024 match:
After suffering a 3-1 loss to Turkey on their European Championship debut, Georgia will look to give fans some cheer when they take on Czech Republic at Volksparkstadion. Napoli ace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia should keep his place up front, alongside Georges Mikautadze, who scored the equalizer against Turkey, while defender Solomon Kvirkvelia is one yellow card away from suspension.
The Czechs, on the other hand, were on the verge of holding star-studded Portugal to a draw in their opener, but eventually Francisco Conceicao scored a late winner for A Selecao. Ivan Hasek’s men, though, produced a fine display against Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. and given Georgia’s shaky defence, away win should definitely be considered. Bayer Leverkusen forward Patrik Schick should be cautious in Saturday’s showdown after picking up a yellow card in the Group F opener. It has to be noted that Czech Republic and Georgia meet for the first time in a competitive match.
