Expect an electrifying atmosphere at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano when Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid face each other in El Madrileno on Sunday. Los Rojiblancos showed character in a hard-fought 1-0 win over Celta, with Julian Alvarez scoring a late winner and, no doubt, the triumph gave them a confidence boost ahead of the Madrid derby. The Argentina forward is pushing for a start as well as his compatriot Rodrigo de Paul, while both Cesar Azpilicueta and Pablo Barrios remain in the recovery room.
Los Blancos, on the other hand, look unstoppable at the moment, with the team eyeing their sixth consecutive win in all competitions. As big-money signing Kylian Mbappe has found his goal-scoring touch of late, but seeing that the France superstar will be out of contention for three weeks with a thigh injury, home win should be considered. Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Ceballos, and Brahim Diaz remain on the sidelines with injuries as well.

Modric quickly established himself as a first-team regular and, no doubt, he helped the capital club win two Champions League trophies (2013/2014, 2015/2016). You should bear in mind that he was named Croatian Footballer of the Year in 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2014.
