Las Palmas
Following a routine 3-0 win over Brest in the Champions League, Barcelona will look to return to winning ways in La Liga when they face Las Palmas at home. Barca dropped two points in a 2-2 draw with Celta Vigo at the weekend, but they are seen as hot favourites to beat La Union Deportiva at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys. In Lamine Yamal’s absence, a man to watch in the home team will be Robert Lewandowski, who scored a brace in the midweek triumph.
The likes of Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, Ronald Araujo, and Marc Bernal remain in the treatment room. Las Palmas, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-2 loss to Mallorca, with the team remaining in the danger zone. Given Barcelona’s 100% record at home, we do not believe that the underdogs are capable of claiming a major scalp on Matchday 15. Diego Martinez should have a full squad to choose from.

After scoring 36 goals in 59 league games for Znicz Pruskow, Robert Lewandowski joined Lech Poznan in June, 2008. The 184-cm-tall attacker scored 18 goals in 28 appearances for the club in the 2009/2010 Ekstraklasa campaign and during the season he was on Borussia Dortmund’s radar.
The Polish forward signed a four-year deal with the Bundesliga side in June, 2010 and he quickly established himself as the team’s key attacker. Lewandowski was producing excellent performances with the Millionaires between 2010 and 2014 and it has to be noted that he won two Bundesliga trophies with the club (2010/2011, 2011/2012). He participated in the 2012/2013 Champions League final with Borussia Dortmund, but the Millionaires were beaten by fellow Bundesliga side Bayern Munich in the title game.
However, he betrayed Borussia Dortmund fans in 2014 as he signed a four-year deal with the Bundesliga giants. Lewandowski impressed in the 2016/2017 Bundesliga campaign as he scored 30 goals in 32 league games for Pep Guardiola’s troops. The Polish footballer represented his homeland at Euro 2016 in France and he scored one goal at the showpiece tournament in France.

Las Palmas are a Spanish football club based in the Canary Islands. The club was founded on 22 August, 1949. Los Amarillos play in Spanish La Liga and the team’s home ground is Estadio Gran Canaria. The stadium was opened in 2003 and it’s current capacity is 32,150. Miguel Angel Ramirez is the club’s chairman and the club’s main rivals are Tenerife.
Las Palmas impressed in the 2015/2016 La liga campaign, with the team finishing the season in 11th place in the standings. However, it has to be noted that los Amarillos finished the 1968/1969 Primera Division campaign in second place in the table, 11 points behind Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Speaking of Copa del Rey, Las Palmas made it to the final of the Spanish Cup in 1978. Las Palmas eliminated Sporting Gijon in the semis (5-3), but Barcelona outplayed los Amarillos in the title game (3-1).
