Angers
Strasbourg will look to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Rennes when they take on Angers in the Coupe de France last 16. Le Racing are eyeing their third consecutive win at home ground, but they will have to showcase their worth on the field. The likes of Barco, Bakwa, Delaine, and Dion are out of contention with injuries for the home side, while talented forward Jeremy Sebas is pushing for a rare start.
Les Scoistes, on the other hand, head into Wednesday’s game following a 1-1 draw with Le Havre. Angers have been producing fine displays in 2025, but beating Strasbourg at Stade de la Meinau is easier said than done. As both Angers and Strasbourg are likely to adopt a cautious approach in the French Cup game, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Founded back in 1906, Strasbourg is a professional football team that compete in French Ligue 1. Le Racing did remarkably well to win the 1979 Ligue 1 trophy and that is considered the biggest success in the history of the club. Strasbourg won Coupe de France on three occasions (1951, 1966, 2001) and they have three Coupe de la Ligue trophies as well (1964, 1997, 2005). Strasbourg’s main rivals are Metz and the two teams face each other in the Derby de l’Est (The Eastern derby).
