Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Friday’s football game between Rennes and Nantes will open round 30 of the current Ligue 1 campaign. Les Rouges et Noirs were struggling in the first half of the season, but their form in 2025 is surely fuelling fans with optimism ahead of Nantes’ visit. As Rennes rolled over Le Havre 5-1 at the weekend, home win should definitely be considered. All Ludovic Blas, Ibrahim Salah, Dogan Alemdar, and Alidu Seidu are out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
Les Canaris, on the other hand, did well to shock Nice on the road in their last league match, but given Rennes’ excellent performance in the triumph over Le Havre, we predict that the visitors are going to return home with their hands empty. In their last meeting at Roazhon Park, Rennes recorded a routine 3-1 win over Nantes. Defender Jean-Charles Castelletto is back from suspension for the away team.
