Our prediction for this Gold Cup match:
There will be fireworks when Saudi Arabia and United States of America lock horns at Q2 Stadium in the Group D derby. The Gold Cup guests did well to beat Haiti in their opener and they are now on a quest to claim a major scalp by shocking the tournament hosts. Al Ittihad defender Hassan Kadesh is a major doubt after limping off with injury against les Bicolores, with Abdullah Madu being ready to step up.
The Yanks, on the other hand, faced no difficulties in a 5-0 crushing of Trinidad & Tobago, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Herve Renard’s troops. As both USA and Saudi Arabia should be happy with one point from Friday’s showdown, we are tempted to bet on draw. Bearing any fresh injury worries, Mauricio Pochettino is unlikely to make changes to the team that outplayed the Soca Warriors.
Highlighted Player (Tim Ream):

After ending his college career at Saint Louis Billikens, Timothy Ream began playing for Chicago Fire at senior level. Speaking of his professional debut, the American footballer played the full 90 mins in New York Red Bulls’ opening match of the 2010 MLS season. On September 11, 2010 Tim Ream scored his first MLS goal in a 3-1 victory over Colorado Rapids.
The USA defender made 58 appearances in the league for the Red Bulls and in 2012 he moved to Europa to sign a contract with Bolton Wanderers. Tim Ream signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the club and he made his debut for Bolton in a 2-0 FA Cup win over Millwall on February 18, 2012.
In 2015 Ream moved to Fulham and he has been playing for the capital club ever since. The footballer, who wears No. 13 on his shirt at Fulham, made his debut for the USA national soccer team on November 17, 2010, in a 1-0 victory over South Africa.
Highlighted Team (Saudi Arabia):

Saudi Arabia Football Federation was established back in 1956, but the Saudis qualified for a major tournament 28 years later, when they participated in the AFC Asian Cup. In 1988 Saudi Arabia won their first trophy, with the team beating South Korea in the Asian Cup final.
Eight years later they repeated the success and it has to be noted that they have been playing at the Asian Cup finals ever since. Speaking of their appearances at the FIFA World Cup finals, the Green Falcons did well to qualify for the 1994 tournament, where they made it to the last 16. Saudi Arabia participated at the 1998, 2002 and 2006 tournament as well, but they missed out on a place at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals.
However, the Asian side booked their place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia thanks to a win over Japan in their last group game in the qualifiers. Saudi Arabia’s home kits are white, whilst they wear green jerseys and shirts when playing on the road.
