Our prediction for this Ireland Premier Division match:
Cork City play host to Drogheda United at their Turners Cross in what is expected to be an interesting Premier Division game. The Rebel Army do not seem to be at their sharpest, with the team failing to win the last nine league fixtures, but they should not be written off just yet. The bad news for the hosts is that experienced midfielder Greg Bolger serves a one-game ban due to the accumulation of yellow cards.
The Drogs, on the other hand, defeated Sligo Rovers 1-0 in their last league match, with Douglas James-Taylor scoring the only goal of the match. Drogheda, though, are not regarded as good travellers and we do not believe that they are capable of grabbing more than one point from Monday’s encounter. In their last meeting at Turners Cross, the two teams played out a 1-1 draw and we predict that history is going to repeat itself. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team.
