Tottenham
All eyes will be on Bluenergy Stadium in Udine when PSG and Tottenham go head to head in the UEFA Super Cup. Les Parisiens rolled over Inter 5-0 in the Champions League final last term and they are seen as hot favourites to win Wednesday’s clash as well. Luis Enrique has a full squad to choose from and we predict that the Catalan tactician is going to field the best possible side against Spurs.
The capital club, on the other hand, head into the match with a severely-weakened squad. Heung-min Son is no longer part of the team after joining Los Angeles FC, while all James Maddison, Manor Solomon, and Dejan Kulusevski are sidelined with injuries. Centre-forward Dominic Solanke is a major doubt and will be assessed ahead of the kick-off. Anyhow, PSG are more of a team than Tottenham and we predict that the nominal visitors will prove their worth on the field.
Highlighted Player (Ben Davies):
After graduating from the Swansea City academy, Ben Davies was surprisingly given a chance to shine as Neil Taylor suffered a difficult injured, and he grabbed it with both hands to become a starter in his first ever Premier League season. The Welsh left-back, who is also capable of operating in the heart of defence, continued with impressive performances in the elite division and one more strong season saw Tottenham Hotspur express their interest in his services and eventually secured his signature.
Davies has since been vying England international Danny Rose for a starting position and even though he has been playing second fiddle of late, the defender is seen as a great prospect for the future.
After initially playing at left-back in the Wales National team, Davies was moved to left centre-back position as Chris Coleman switched to 5-4-1 formation, and he has impressed playing alongside captain Ashley Williams and James Chester as the Dragons clinched qualification to the Euro 2016 finals.

Les Parisiens were crowned UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup champions back in 1995-96, while their last European trophy was the 2001 UEFA Intertoto Cup. Beginning of the new millennium was particularly hard for the celebrated club who flirted with relegation in 2000s before they were bought by the Quatar Sports Investments group in 2011 when the rebirth of the Paris Saint-Germain as we know it today began.
Following heavy squad investments and team boosting, PSG won their first Ligue 1 title in 19 years with Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic almost singlehandedly leading his side towards the trophy with 30 goals. Having established domestic dominance, PSG now set their sights on winning the Champions League which remains an elusive dream for the club from Paris.
