Our prediction for this World Cup 2026 match:
Iraq will be aiming to overtake Bahrain in top position in Group C when they take on Cambodia in the Asia World Cup qualifiers round 9. Iraq failed to turn their dominance into victory in a goalless draw with Bahrain, but they are seen as hot favourites to beat Cambodia in Arad. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be captain Alaa Abdul-Zahra, who has netted 17 goals in 122 appearances for the national team.
Cambodia, on the other hand, do not seem to be competitive at this level, with the team suffering an embarrassing 8-0 loss to Bahrain on Thursday. The rock-bottom side are low on confidence ahead of the trip to Arad, and we do not believe that they are capable of making a miracle at Al Muharraq Stadium. In their last meeting in a competitive match Iraq rolled over Cambodia 4-0.
