Buoyed by a thrilling 2-0 win over United States of America, Canada will look to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they take on El Salvador at Estadio Cuscatlan. The Canucks are on the right track to secure automatic qualification for the 2022 World Cup finals, but they can’t afford any complacency in the remainder of the process. Even though Bayern Munchen ace Alphonso Davies has been ruled out with heart problems, Canada are seen as favourites to win Thursday’s clash.
La Selecta, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-0 win over Honduras. El Salvador want to keep their qualification hopes alive, but given Canada’s display in the triumph over the Yanks, punters from all around the globe can find value in betting on the visiting team. Houston Dynamo midfielder Darwin Ceren should be recalled to El Salvador’s starting XI after finding the net in the triumph over Honduras.

Nicknamed Ruso, Andres Flores joined River Plate youth academy in 2006. Flores played for River Plate’s Reserves from 2006 to 2008 and he was producing terrific displays with los Millonarios. However, he began his professional career in his homeland club Isidro Metapan, scoring ten goals in 95 appearances for the Salvadorian outfit. In 2012 he signed a loan deal with Danish club Viborg, but he played only one game for the Greens.
Andres Flores was then sent on a loan to New York Cosmos and after making eight appearances for the MCU Park outfit, he signed a permanent contract with the club in 2015. The El Salvador midfielder, who is capable of playing as a striker as well, made his debut for New York Cosmos on August 2, 2014 in a 1-0 loss to Carolina RailHawks.
Speaking of his international career, Andres Flores received his first call-up for the El Salvador national football team in March, 2008 in a friendly against Trinidad & Tobago.

Canada national football team played their first official match back in 1924 when they suffered a 3-2 loss to Australia in Brisbane. The following year the two teams faced each other one in Adelaide, with the Canadians managing to get their revenge on the Socceroos. The Canucks had several unsuccessful attempts to make it to the World Cup finals, but in 1986 they finally booked their place at the showpiece tournament.
Canada faced France in their opener, with Jean-Pierre Papin scoring the winner for les Tricolores in the dying minutes of the match. The Canadians were beaten by Hungary and USSR in the next two group games as well and, as a result, they failed to advance to the knockout stages.
