As expected, Norway defeated Latvia at the weekend, with Erling Haland extending his amazing goal-scoring run. Stale Solbakken’s troops are eager to regain their spot in top two, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at Gibraltar.
Talented forward Jens Hauge is widely expected to return to the starting XI. The minnows, on the other hand, suffered a loss in each of their five group games. Gibraltar are stuck at the bottom of Group G, and seeing that they head into the match with the lack of confidence, anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise. The bad news for the hosts is that important attacker Tjay de Barr misses the game through suspension.

Gibraltar played their first unofficial match against Jersey in the 1993 Island Games. The Gibraltarians suffered a 2-1 loss to Jersey, but they did well to hold Slovakia to a goalless draw in their first official international match. Gibraltar participated in the 2016 World Cup qualifiers and they were drawn in Group D alongside Germany, Poland, Georgia, Republic of Ireland and Scotland.
They failed to impress on their debut in the World Cup qualifiers and it has to be noted that the minnows suffered a loss in each of their ten group games (goal difference 2:56).
