Moldova
Hampden Park will host Saturday’s football game between Scotland and Moldova, the two teams who aim to keep their qualification hopes alive. The Scotts head into the match following a 2-0 loss to Denmark, and, no doubt, they will go all guns blazing at the former Soviet republic. Fit-again Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson should keep his place in the starting XI, while Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay remains on the sidelines through injury.
Moldova, on the other hand, have collected only one point from possible 12 in the process, and, as a result, they are stuck at the bottom of Group F. Even though the Scotts will be without McTominay in Saturday’s qualifier, home win should be considered as Moldova defence looks pretty shaky. In their last meeting in a competitive match, back in 2005, Scotland defeated Moldova 2-0, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself.

Jon McLaughlin is a goalkeeper who plays for Sunderland. The 188-cm-tall shoot-stopper played for non-League sides Harrogate Railway Athletic and Harrogate Town in the past, but in 2008 he joined Bradford City. After spending six years at Valley Parade, McLaughlin signed a contract with Burton Albion and he has been playing for the Pirelli Stadium outfit ever since.
Jon McLaughlin made 45 appearances for Burton Albion in both 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 seasons and he has established his self as the team’s first-choice goalkeeper. He was producing scintillating displays for Burton in the 2015/2016 League One campaign and, no doubt, he helped the team secure promotion to the Championship.
Jon McLaughlin was born on 9 September, 1987 in Edinburgh, but he has yet to make his debut for the Scotland national team. Speaking of his honours, the goalkeeper won the Football League Two play-offs with Bradford City in the 2012/2013 season.

Seeing that they were a part of Soviet Union until 1991, Moldova played their first game as an independent country on July 2, 1991. The Moldovans were beaten by Georgina in front of home fans in Chisinau, but the following year the team recorded their biggest win on the international stage as they rolled over Pakistan 5-0 in Amman, Jordan.
The former Soviet republic have yet to qualify for the finals of the World Cup or the European Championship, but they recorded a couple of thrilling wins in the past. Moldova crushed Montenegro 5-2 in Podgorica in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, but they eventually failed to book their place at the showpiece tournament in Brazil.
The Moldovans were producing fine showings under Igor Dobrovolskiy in the 2008 European Championship qualifiers as well and it has to be noted that they hammered Hungary 3-0 at Stadionul Zimbru on November 17, 2007. Russian Premier League star Alexandru Gatcan is considered one of the most famous Moldavian footballers.
