North Macedonia
Germany will be looking to keep their 100% record intact in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers when they host North Macedonia at Schauinsland in their third group game. Joachim Low’s men missed a number of clear-cut opportunities to score in a hard-fought 1-0 win over Romania, and, no doubt, they are capable of beating North Macedonia on home soil. Timo Werner is widely expected to replace Kai Havertz up front, but key attacker Serge Gnabry, who scored the winner in Bucharest, should keep his place in the starting XI.
All Toni Kroos, Marcel Halstenberg, Jonas Hofmann, and Niklas Sule remain on the sidelines. The Macedonians recorded an expected 5-0 win over Liechtenstein in their second group game, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Wednesday’s qualifier. This will be the first meeting between the two national teams in a competitive match.

Leroy Sane began his senior career at Schalke 04. The pacey winger, who is capable of playing as attacking midfielder as well, made his debut for die Knappen on 20 April, 2014 against Stuttgart. Sane came as a substitute in the second half of the match, replacing Max Mayer 13 minutes before the final whistle.
He scored 11 goals in 47 league appearances for Schalke and on 2 August, 2016 he signed a deal with big-spending Premier League side Manchester City. The former Schalke footballer joined the Citizens on a five-year deal for a fee of £37 million. Sane was born in Essen on 11 January, 1996, but his father is Senegalese.
Souleymane Sane used to play for the Senegalese national football team in the past, while his mother Regina Weber was a rhythmic gymnast. Speaking of his international career, Leroy Sane has 6 caps for Germany U21 and he made his debut for the senior team on 13 November, 2015 in a 2-0 loss to France.

Former Yugoslavian republic North Macedonia became member of both FIFA and UEFA in 1994 and they have been competing on the international stage ever since. The Crveni Risovi rolled over Slovenia (4-1) in their first ever official match and the team recorded their biggest win on November 9, 11996, with the team crushing minnows Liechtenstein 11-1 in Eschen-Mauren.
The North Macedonians have yet to qualify for the finals of a major tournament despite the fact that several high-profile footballers played for the former Yugoslav republic. Goran Pandev is undisputedly the team’s most notable player as he played for the likes of Lazion, Inter, Napoli and Galatasaray during his professional career.
Pandev scored his 28th and 29th goal for North Macedonia in a 3-0 win over Belarus in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. However, Goce Seldloski is the most capped player (100). North Macedonia welcome their rivals at Philip II Arena and they wear red shirts with yellow stripe and red shorts when playing at home ground. The colour of their away kits is white.
