United States of America will look to overtake Canada in top position in the North & Central America WC qualifiers when they take on El Salvador at Lower.com Field on Friday morning. The Yanks are on the right track to book their place at the showpiece tournament in Qatar, but they can’t afford any complacency in the upcoming qualifying matches.
USA played out a 1-1 draw with Jamaica in their last qualifier, but they are seen as hot favourites to beat El Salvador in Columbus. Star players Christian Pulisic, Tim Weah, and Weston McKennie all made the cut, as well as Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams. La Selecta, on the other hand, sit in the penultimate place in the standings with only six points in their pocket.
