Our prediction for this Coupe de la Ligue match:
Monaco and Lille face each other at Stade Louis II in what is expected to be one of the most exciting games of Tuesday’s program. Les Rouges et Blancs have been climbing the Ligue 1 standings, but they have yet to find their best form. Leonardo Jardim’s troops did well to beat Olympique Marseille in their Coupe de la Ligue opener, but the game against Lille will be anything but a walk in the park for the hosts.
A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be summer signing Wissam Ben Yedder, who has been scoring goals for fun in the Ligue 1 this season. Les Dogues, on the other hand, continue with terrific displays in the French top flight, with the team beating Montpellier 2-1 in their last league fixture. Seeing that Lille are enjoying a very successful domestic campaign, we are tempted to put our money on draw.
Highlighted Player (Benjamin Lecomte):

Benjamin Lecomte is a French goalkeeper who started playing football at the age of six. Lecomte was born in Paris on April 26, 1991 and in 1997 he joined Arcueil Municipal football academy. After spending eight years at the club he joined Antony Sports in 2006 and four years later he moved to Niort. Finally, he continued his footballing development at Lorient.
The 186-cm-tall shoot-stopper played 22 games Lorient B before making his first-team debut in October 2010 in a Coupe de la Ligue match against AS Monaco. In January 2011 Benjamin Lecomte signed a professional contract with les Merlus and it has to be noted that he made 119 appearance in the league for the club from 2010 to 2017.
In 2017 he moved to Montpellier, signing a four-year deal with the Ligue 1 outfit. The Montpellier goalkeeper has 2 caps for France U20 team, but he has yet to make his debut for the senior team.
Highlighted Team (Lille):

Lille have been playing an important role in French football ever since they were founded in 1944. Les Dogues won their first domestic trophy in the 1945/1946 season.
Lille did well to win their second Ligue 1 title in 1954 and 57 years later they lifted their last domestic title. Les Douges finished the 2010/2011 season in top position in the standings, eight points clear of second-placed Olympique Marseille and it has to be noted that Lille attacker Moussa Sow won the Golden Boot (25 goals).
Lille are one of the two teams that managed to win three consecutive Coupe de France trophies (1946, 1947, 1948), but they have yet to clinch the Coupe de la Ligue title. Les Dogues faced PSG in the 2015/2016 Coupe de la Ligue trophy, but les Parisiens proved to be a big catch for Frederic Antonetti’s team in the title game.
Lille play their home matches at Stade Pierre-Mauroy and the capacity of the stadium is 50.186. The venue was opened in August, 2017 and the construction cost €282 million.
