Our prediction for this Gold Cup match:
Haiti were producing fine displays at the 2015 Gold Cup, with the team beating Honduras in the group stages of the competition, but they eventually failed to make it to the knockout stages. Les Bicolores aim to give fans some cheer at the 2019 tournament as well and they are seen as favourites to win Monday’s game against Bermuda. Despite the fact that Haiti suffered back-to-back losses to El Salvador and Chile in previous two friendly game, we are positive that they are going to defeat Kyle Lightbourne’s charges in San Jose at the start of their 2019 Gold Cup campaign.
Bermuda booked their place at the Gold Cup finals for the first time ever and we are positive that the lack of experience is going to prove to be the main problem for the team in Monday’s clash at Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica.
Highlighted Player (Wilde-Donald Guerrier):
Wilde-Donald Guerrier is considered one of the best Haiti footballers. Guerrier played for Violette AC and America des Cayes before joining Polish side Wisla Krakow in 2013. After scoring 20 goals in 75 appearances for the Biala Gwiazda, the Haiti international moved to Turkey, signing a deal with Alanyaspor.

He scored his first ever goal in the Champions League on July 11, 2017 in Qarabag’s 5-0 win over Samtredia in the qualifiers for the group stages of the elite competition. Qarabag became the first team to reach the group stages of the Champions League in the 2017/2018 season.
Speaking of his international career, Wild-Donald Guerrier scored his first goal for Haiti in a 2-1 loss to Spain in June, 2013. His main position is left-back, but he is used as a left midfielder as well. Guerrier’s preferred foot is left.
Highlighted Team (Bermuda):
Bermuda are yet another team that are affiliated to the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF). The Gombey Warriors play their home games at Bermuda National Stadium, with the team wearing red kit when hosting their rivals.
The team’s away colour, on the other hand, is blue. Bermuda have yet to participate at the FIFA World Cup finals, but they will have a chance to prove their worth at the 2019 CONCACAF Championship. The Bermudans impressed in the qualifiers for the tournament, with the team scoring 17 goals in the process.
Leonard Shaun Goater is the team’s most notable player. The retired attacker played for the likes of Manchester City, Bristol City, Rotherham United and Reading during his football career and it has to be noted that he scored 32 goals in 36 appearances for the Bermuda national football team. Leonard Shaun Goater is still the team’s top scorer.
