Our prediction for this MLS match:
Chicago Fire suffered their eighth defeat of the season at the weekend, with the team losing to Sporting Kansas City on the road. Veljko Paunovic’s troops produce much better performances at home than on the travels and the fact that they rolled over Atlanta United 5-1 in their last home fixture is certainly giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of Sunday’s football game.
Seeing that Chicago Fire play host to newcomers Cincinnati at their SeatGeek Stadium, they will not have a better chance than this to regain a much-needed confidence. Cincinnati did well to beat Houston Dynamo on home soil in their last league fixture, but seeing that they were hammered by Minnesota United in their last away game, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the home side. A man to keep an eye on in Veljko Paunovic’s team will be C.J. Sapong, who scored a brace in the triumph over Atlanta.
Highlighted Player (Cristian Martinez):
Cristian Martinez is a Columbus Crew midfielder who was born in Panama City on February 6, 1997. Martinez began his senior career in 2012 at local club Chorrillo, but after four years he was sent on loan to MLS club Columbus Crew. The Panama footballer found the net for Columbus on his MLS debut on June 1, 2016, becoming the youngest goal scorer in the club history.
Cristian Martinez played for the likes of Pittsburgh Riverhounds and FC Cincinnati on loan as well, but in 2018 he returned to the MAPFRE Stadium outfit. The Columbus footballer made his debut for Panama national football team against El Salvador on February 18, 2016, coming as a substitute for Armando Cooper in the 78th minute of the match.
Martinez made his first start for Panama in a 1-0 loss to Nicaragua in a friendly game on March 16, 2016. The Columbus midfielder has five caps for Panama U20 team as well as he represented los Ticos at the 2017 CONCACAF U20 Championship.
Highlighted Team (FC Cincinnati):
FC Cincinnati will make their MLS debut in the 2019 season. Based in Ohio, the Orange and Blue are a team who is expected to play their home games at West End Stadium. However, seeing that the West End Stadium is still under construction, FC Cincinnati will welcome their rivals at Nippert Stadium at the start of the season.
The team’s home colors are orange and blue, whilst they wear white shirts and white shorts when playing on the travels. Justin Hoyte, who used to play for the likes of Arsenal and Middlesbrough in the Premier League is considered one of the team’s most famous footballers.
The Orange and Blue will make their MLS debut against Seattle Sounders, whilst they will play their first ever home game in the league against Portland Timbers. It has to be noted that FC Cincinnati has five supporters groups: Die Innestadt, The Legion, The Pride, Queen City and The Briogaid.
