Our prediction for this Taca de Portugal match:
High-flying Benfica play host to Famalicao at their Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica in the Taca de Portugal semis, first leg. The Eagles have been producing terrific displays in all competitions this season, and they must be high on confidence ahead of the Portuguese Cup showdown. Thanks to a 3-2 win over Belenenses Benfica extended their winning run in the Primeira Liga to 16 games, and we predict that they are going to give fans yet another reason for celebration on Tuesday evening.
A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be Brazilian attacker Carlos Vinicius, who is enjoying a season to remember. Famalicao, on the other hand, are the biggest surprise of the season. The Primeira Liga newcomers sit in the 5th position in the standings ahead of the trip to Lisbon, but away win should not be considered as Famalicao’s current form is anything but brilliant.
