Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Fleetwood Town will be looking stay in the play-offs race when they take on Blackpool at their Highbury Stadium on Matchday 37. The Cod Army have been in a fine form in 2020, and it is no wonder reputable bookmakers see them as favourites to win Saturday’s football match. You should bear in mind that Fleetwood Town are eyeing their fourth consecutive win in front of home fans.
The Seasiders, on the other hand, have been impressive at home ground of late, with the team beating Bolton and Ipswich, but given their poor away record in the League One, the visitors are unlikely to spoil Fleetwood’s party at Highbury Stadium. Blackpool defeated Fleetwood 3-1 at Bloomfield Road in the first half of the season, meaning that the hosts are hungry for revenge. Ireland international Paddy Madden, who has netted 15 goals in the League One so far this term, will be the man to watch in the home team.
Highlighted Player (Josh Morris):
Josh Morris is a product of Blackburn Rovers football school who plays for Fleetwood Town in the League One. Morris’ main position is left midfielder, but he is capable of playing as both left-back and central midfielder as well.
The English footballer started his senior career at Blackburn Rovers and he played for the likes of Yeovil Town, Rotherham United, Carlisle United and Fleetwood Town on loan before moving to Bradford City in the summer of 2015. Josh Morris, though, found his best form at Scunthorpe United, scoring 35 goals in 107 appearances for the club in the league.
Before the start of the 2018/2019 League One season Morris re-joined Fleetwood Town, signing a two-year contract with the Fishermen. Josh Morris scored his first goal of the season in a 3-1 win over Peterborough United at Weston Homes Stadium. His contract with Fleetwood Town should expire on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Blackpool):
Blackpool FC are a professional English club based in Blackpool, Lancashire. Considering that Blackpool is a seaside town, it is no surprise they are nicknamed the Seasiders. Founded back in 1887, the club play their home matches at Bloomfield Road, which can hold up to 17,338 spectators. In the 2009/2010 season Blackpool secured promotion to the Premier League, but they were not competitive at this level, suffering relegation to the Championship the following season.
The club’s biggest success, though, came in 1953 when they defeated Bolton Wanderers 4-3 in the FA Cup final. Blackpool are well known for their orange shirts, but the dominant colour of their away kit is white. Preston are considered the club’s biggest rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the West Lancashire derby.
Charlie Adam, who played for Liverpool and has 26 caps for Scotland national team, is regarded as one of the club’s most notable players.
