Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Lincoln City play host to Shrewsbury Town at their LNER stadium in what is expected to be a very exciting game. Lincoln City were impressive at the start of December, with the team beating both Wigan Athletic and Rochdale, but they experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-0 loss to Sunderland at the weekend. You should bear in mind that they had no more than one shot on target in the defeat to the Black Cats.
The Shrews, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Hull City. Shrewsbury did well to shock the league leaders at KCOM Stadium, and given Lincoln’s shaky defence, we believe that punters can find value in betting on the visiting team. Former Bournemouth defender Charlie Daniels who scored the winner against Hull City, will be one of the men to watch in the away team.
Highlighted Player (Liam Bridcutt ):

Liam Robert Bridcutt is a professional footballer who plays for Lincoln City as a defensive midfielder. Born in Reading, England on May 8, 1989, Bridcutt is a product of the Chelsea football academy, but he did not see any game action for the Blues at senior level. After ending his loan spells with Yeovil Town, Watford, and Stockport County, the 175-cm footballer signed a five-month contract with Brighton where he established himself as a first-team regular.
After making 132 appearances in the league for the Seagulls, Liam Bridcutt moved to Sunderland in the winter of 2014. He played for the likes of Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Bolton Wanderers as well before joining Lincoln City in January, 2020.
His main position is defensive midfield, but he is used as a central midfielder as well. The Lincoln City player has a dual citizenship (Scotland/England), and it has to be noted that he has two caps with the Scotland national team.
Highlighted Team (Shrewsbury):

Based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, Shrewsbury Town are a professional club that play home games at New Meadow stadium, the venue which was opened in 2007 and has the capacity of 10,361. Shrewsbury Town were founded back in 1886, with some reports indicating the club was established at the Lion Hotel.
The Blues wear blue shirts with yellow stripe and blue shorts when playing at home, whilst the colour of their away kit is purple. Mickey Brown holds the club record for most appearances as he played 190 games for the club, scoring 9 goals in the league. Both Wolverhampton and Walsall are regarded as the club’s fiercest rivals, but there have always been fireworks in matches between Shrewsbury Town and Hereford United as well.
The two teams face each other in the “A49 derby” and it has to be noted that the Blues have built rivalries with Chester City and Wrexham as well.
