Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Grimsby will be aiming to make amends for back-to-back losses to Accrington and Bradford when they take on Chesterfield on Matchday 27. The Mariners have been struggling at the back of late, but Saturday’s clash could turn their fortunes around in League Two. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team ahead of the visit of Chesterfield.
The Bluebirds, on the other hand, are on a three-game losing run in the English fourth tier. As both Chesterfield and Grimsby are eager to move closer to the playoffs places, there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. In the first half of the season Chesterfield defeated Grimsby 2-1, which goes in favour of our earlier prediction. Paul Cook is likely to field the best possible side against the Mariners after resting several first-team regulars in the EFL Trophy loss to Rotherham.
