Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Estadio Municipal de Butarque will host Sunday’s La Liga 2 game between Leganes and Villarreal B, the two teams who sit in the opposite halves of the tablea head of Matchday 13. The capital club aim to build on back-to-back wins over Amorebieta (6-0) and Espanyol (1-0) and they must be brimming with confidence ahead of the visit of Villarreal B. Even though forward Daniel Raba misses out through suspension, home win should be considered as Leganes have been producing excellent displays in the Spanish second tier of late.
The Yellow Submarine reserve team, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in back-to-back defeats to Burgos (2-3) and Mirandes (0-3) and given their difficulties on the travels, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Leganes. Both Hugo Perez and Pablo Iniguez are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the visiting team ahead of the trip to Madrid.
Highlighted Player (Allan Nyom):
After playing amateur football in his homeland France, Allan Nyom began his professional career at Arles-Avignon. The pacey full back made 37 appearances for the club in the 2008/2009 season and at the end of the campaign he signed a deal with Serie A side Udinese. However, given the great collaboration between Udinese and Granada, he was immediately sent on loan to the Estadio Nuevo los Carmenes outfit.
Granada finished the 2009/2010 season in top position in the Segunda Division and, as a result, they secured automatic promotion to the Spanish top flight. Allan Nyom established himself as a first-team regular and it has to be noted that he made 32 appearances for los Granadinos in the 2011/2012 La Liga campaign. After spending five seasons at Granada, Nyom joined Watford in 2015 and he moved to fellow Premier League side WBA at the end of the season.
The WBA defender represents Cameroon on the international stage and he made his debut for Les Lions Indomptables on November 11, 2011.
Highlighted Team (Leganes):
Leganes are a Spanish football club that have mostly been playing in lower leagues. Los Pepineros play their home games at Batarque (Madrid) and the capacity of the stadium is just 8,138. Leganes secured their promotion to the Spanish La Liga for the first time ever in 2016 and, no doubt, that is considered the club’s biggest success.
Leganes’ bitterest rivals are fellow capital club Getafe and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other in the South Madrid derby.
The colour of the team’s home kit is white and blue, whilst their away kits are green. The likes of Pierre Webo, Samuel Eto’o, Ivan Zarandona, Jose Chamot, Catanha, Ruben Falcon, Jordi Lardin and Pedro Lago are famous players who were part of the Batarque outfit in the past. Lady Maria Victoria Pavon is the first female president in the history of the club and she has been in charge of the club since 2009.
