Luxembourg play host to Azerbaijan at their Stade Josy Barthel in what is expected to be a close World Cup qualifier. Luxembourg did well to beat Ireland (1-0) in their opener, but Portugal (1-3) proved to be a big catch for Lux Holtz’s troops. Even though defender Maxime Chanot misses the match through suspension, home win should be considered as Luxembourg are a real force to be reckoned with at home.
The Azeri, on the other hand, head into the match following back-to-back losses to the likes of Portugal (0-1) and Serbia (1-2), and we do not believe that they are capable of grabbing something from Wednesday’s clash. You should bear in mind that Luxembourg are undefeated in the previous four meetings with Azerbaijan in all competitions. Legia attacker Mahir Emreli, who has been scoring goals for fun in the Europa League qualifiers, is likely to return to the starting XI.

Born in Luxembourg on October 19, 1992, David Turpel is a striker who plays for F91 Dudelange. Over the years Turpel has established himself as a one of the best attackers in Luxembourg and he is likely to play an important role in Dino Toppmoller’s team in the 2018/2019 Europa League campaign.
David Turpel represents Luxembourg on the international stage and it has to be noted that he scored his first goal for the national team in the Euro 2016 qualifiers. Turpel found the net against Macedonia, but that did not help Luxembourg avoid defeat in Skopje. He scored his second goal for the Luxemborurg national team in a friendly against Albania in June, 2017.
