Saturday’s football match at the Den pits together Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday. The Lions shared the spoils with the likes of Watford, Cardiff City, and Norwich City in the previous three league fixtures, but they need to start winning on a regular basis if they are to move closer to the playoffs berth. Unlikely previous seasons, the capital club have been struggling at home ground this term, with the team recording only win in the process.
Sheffield Wednesday, on the other hand, have been showing signs of improvement of late, with the team beating both Preston and Bournemouth in the previous two league fixtures. The Owls are eager to escape the relegation zone, and we are positive that they will go for a win in Saturday’s clash. Anyhow, the two teams seem to be evenly matched at the moment, and we are tempted to put our money on draw.

After starting his professional career at Sparta Prague, Jiri Skalak played for the likes of Ruzemberok, Slovacko, Zbrojovka Brno and Mlada Boleslav on loan. In the summer of 2015 the Czech player signed a permanent deal with Mlada Boleslav where he established himself as a first-team regular.
However, the pacey winger did spend too much time at the Czech club as he joined English side Brighton in the winter of 2016. Jiri Skalak signed for the Seagulls for an undisclosed fee and it has to be noted that he score his first goal for the club in a 4-0 win over QPR on April 19, 2016. After spending two seasons at the Falmer Stadium, Jiri Skalak moved to fellow English club Millwall on August 2, 2018.
Born in Pardubice (Czechoslovakia) on March 12, 1992, Skalak represents Czech Republic on the international stage. The Millwall winger has 21 caps for the Czech Republic U21 team and he received his first call-up for the senior team on August 25, 2015 for the Euro 2016 qualifying matches against Latvia and Kazakhstan.

Sheffield Wednesday are one of the two famous clubs from the city of Sheffield (South Yorkshire). The Owls compete in the English second tier (Championship) and they play their home matches at Hillsborough.
The venue was the scene of the Hillsborough disaster which occurred in 1989 when 96 Liverpool supporters were crushed to death in the FA Cup semi-final. It has to be noted that the World Cup (1966) and the Euro (1996) matches were played at Hillsborough.
Sheffield Wednesday have won four First Division trophies (1902/2903, 1903/1904, 1928/1929, 1929/2930) and they finished the 1960/1961 campaign in second place in the standings. The Owls have clinched three FA Cup trophies (1896, 1907, 1935), with the team winning the League Cup in 1991.
