What Is a Tipster Competition?
The Tipster Competition is a free exclusive contest between users of FootballPredictions.com, where the goal is to predict the results of a selection of football matches. Players who finish at the top of the leaderboard will be awarded a prize. The player’s place on the Tipster Competition leaderboard is determined by the number of points they collect.
Participating in FootballPredictions.com’s Tipster Competition is free and open to participants worldwide. Prizes are displayed in pounds sterling but can be converted to the equivalent in your local currency.
How Does the Tipster Competition Work?
The Tipster Competition works in a very straightforward way. After you create an account, you will find a selection of games where you can enter your predictions in the blanks provided. After filling in all the blanks, you submit your predictions for the upcoming round. Once the complete match round has finished, points are awarded for correct score predictions:
- Create an account: Click the orange “Join” button, enter your personal information, such as your name, email address and phone number, and click the orange “Register” button to complete the registration.
- Fill in your predictions: Enter your predictions for the upcoming games. After filling in all the blanks, click “Update All Predictions”. Your score predictions will be locked in automatically at kick-off.
- Wait for the games to kick off and finish: Enjoy the football matches you’ve predicted. Once all games have finished, the points are tallied.
- Get points for the leaderboard: Once the games have finished, you can see in your account how many points you won in the last match round.
- See your place on the leaderboard: The number of points you collected in your latest round is added to your total. Based on your total points, you are placed on the Tipster Competition leaderboard.
What Can You Win with the Tipster Competition?
With the Tipster Competition, you can win cash prizes, gift cards, football memorabilia and other football merchandise. Prizes are awarded per match round, per month and per year, as shown in the table below:

How Will You Be Notified If You Win a Prize in the Competition?
You will be notified by email if you win a prize in the Tipster Competition. If the prize is not claimed within 30 days of notification, it will be voided and awarded to the second-placed player on the leaderboard.
How Is the Tipster Competition Score Calculated?
The Tipster Competition score is calculated by comparing the final result with your submitted prediction. You are awarded 3 points for each correctly predicted score. If you predict the correct winning side or a draw, but not the exact score, you are awarded 1 point. See the table below:

When Does the Tipster Competition Start?
There is no set start date for the Tipster Competition. You can enter the three leaderboards (match round, monthly and yearly) whenever you want. Bear in mind that your chances of winning the monthly or yearly prizes are higher if you participate from the first day of the month or year.
Who Can Participate in the Tipster Competition?
Anyone aged 18 or over can participate in the Tipster Competition. Although prizes are shown in pounds sterling, participants outside the UK will receive the equivalent amount in their local currency.
How Do You Register for the Tipster Competition?
You register for the Tipster Competition by creating an account. Follow these four steps to register:
- Click the orange “Join” button in the menu.
- Fill in the requested personal information: username, email address, first name, last name, country of residence, phone number, date of birth and password.
- Accept the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy by ticking the box.
- Click the orange “Register” button.
Can You Participate in the Tipster Competition with More Than One Account?
No, participating in the Tipster Competition with more than one account is not allowed. Players who try to play with multiple accounts will be disqualified and banned from the platform. FootballPredictions.com runs several security systems that actively monitor users and track malicious activity.
Is the Tipster Competition Free?
Yes, the Tipster Competition of FootballPredictions.com is completely free. At present, there are no paid competitions or leaderboards available for players.
Is the Tipster Competition Safe?

Which Football Leagues Are in the Tipster Competition?
Currently, the Premier League is the only league offered in the Tipster Competition. The Premier League is the most popular football league in the world, which is why we have dedicated the competition exclusively to it. We plan to add more competitions in the future, such as the Champions League, Europa League, Championship, League One and League Two.
How Close to Kick-off Can You Submit Your Predictions?
You can submit your predictions on the platform right up until kick-off. To avoid unconfirmed predictions, which can be caused by a slow or unstable internet connection for example, we recommend submitting your predictions at least five minutes before kick-off.
Can You Edit or Delete a Prediction After You Have Submitted It?
Yes, you can edit or delete your prediction after you have submitted it. However, we recommend submitting your final prediction at least five minutes before kick-off to ensure that our system can process and confirm your entry.
