Lincoln City will be aiming to retain top position in the League One standings when they host Swindon Town at their LNER stadium. The Imps aim to build on a 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic, with the team eyeing their eighth home win of the season. The league leaders will be without Harry Anderson, Liam Bridcutt, and Joe Walsh in Tuesday’s clash as the trio is sidelined through injuries.
The Robins, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Crewe Alexandra. Swindon Town are desperate to secure the League One survival, but seeing that they struggle in matches against promotion-chasing sides, we are tempted to put our money on Lincoln City. Both Mathieu Baudry and Ezekiel Fryers are sidelined through injuries ahead of the midweek clash. In the first half of the season Lewis Montsma’s goal helped Lincoln beat Swindon at County Ground.

Liam Robert Bridcutt is a professional footballer who plays for Lincoln City as a defensive midfielder. Born in Reading, England on May 8, 1989, Bridcutt is a product of the Chelsea football academy, but he did not see any game action for the Blues at senior level. After ending his loan spells with Yeovil Town, Watford, and Stockport County, the 175-cm footballer signed a five-month contract with Brighton where he established himself as a first-team regular.
After making 132 appearances in the league for the Seagulls, Liam Bridcutt moved to Sunderland in the winter of 2014. He played for the likes of Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Bolton Wanderers as well before joining Lincoln City in January, 2020.
His main position is defensive midfield, but he is used as a central midfielder as well. The Lincoln City player has a dual citizenship (Scotland/England), and it has to be noted that he has two caps with the Scotland national team.
