Our prediction for this Premier League match:
David faces Goliath at the Hawthorns as West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool go head to head in the Premier League round 36. The Baggies failed to secure the survival, meaning that they head into the match with the lack of confidence. WBA failed to win the previous four league fixtures, and we do not believe that they are capable of shocking the Reds, who are eyeing a place in the Champions League.
Liverpool face yet another must-win situation, and seeing that the Baggies have nothing to play for in Sunday’s clash, anything but a routine away win would be a major surprise. Both Robert Snodgrass and Bane Ivanovic are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team. As for Jurgen Klopp’s team, all van Dijk, Origi, Matip, Kelleher, Henderson, Gomez, and Davies are sidelined with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Branislav Ivanovic):
Over the years Branislav Ivanovic has established himself as one of the best defenders in the world football. Bane plays as a centre back, but he is capable of playing as a full back as well. The Serbian defender has been playing for Chelsea since 2008 and he used to play for the likes of Srem, OFK Beograd and Lokomotiv Moscow in the past as well.
Ivanovic leaves his heart on the field in every single match and that is the main reason why the fans love him. He is known for his aerial ability as well and it has to be noted that he has scored 22 goals for Chelsea since arriving to Stamford Bridge in 2008.
The Serbian footballer has won two Premier League trophies with the Blues, but the Champions League trophy won in 2012 is considered the biggest success of his career. Branislav is married to Natasa, who gave birth to his four children.
Highlighted Team (Liverpool):
Founded back in 1892, Liverpool are one of England’s and world’s most famous clubs. The Reds hold a high-profile rivalry with Everton and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other in the Merseyside derby.
The Reds welcome their opponents at Anfield and it has to be noted that they have already won 18 first division trophies. Liverpool were on the verge of lifting the 2014/2015 Premier League trophy, but Steven Gerrard slipped in the decider against Chelsea and left the Reds without a title.
Liverpool won one of their last Champions League trophy's in 2005, with the team coming from three goals behind to beat Milan in a historic clash in Istanbul. The Reds have clinched six European Cups and it is no surprise they are regarded as one of the greatest European clubs.
The likes of Steven Gerrard, Robbie Fowler, Paul Ince, Ian Rush, Graeme Souness, Sami Hyypia and Luis Suarez are some of the most notable footballers to have represented the club over the years. The club’s anthem is You’ll Never Walk Alone and their shirt colour is red.
