Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Tuesday’s football game at Amex Stadium pits together Brighton and Manchester City, the two teams who sit in the opposite halves of the table ahead of Matchday 37. The Seagulls sit just above the relegation zone, but their Premier League status is not in danger. Since all Maupay (suspension), Dunk (suspension), Lamptey (thigh injury), and March (knee injury) are out of contention for the hosts, we are not tempted to put our money on the underdogs.
Man City, on the other hand, continue their preparations for the Champions League final. Pep Guardiola’s troops have already clinched the Premier League trophy, but given their number of absentees in the home team, away win should be considered. Kevin De Bruyne is definitely out of contention through injury, while Kun Aguero is a major doubt, and he will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
Highlighted Player (Davy Pröpper):
Born in Arnhem, Netherlands on September 2, 1991, Davy Propper is a Dutch footballer who plays for Brighton in the Premier League as a midfielder. Propper is a product of Vitesse football school and you should know that he scored 18 goals in 142 appearances for his hometown club in the Eredivisie.
After ending his spell with Vitesse, Davy Propper joined fellow Dutch side PSV where he scored 16 goals in 67 appearances in the national championship. In 2017 the Dutch footballer decided to take a step forward in his career as he signed a deal with the Seagulls.
Davy Propper has established himself as a first-team regular at Brighton and, to make things even better for him, he represented Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League. His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as both attacking and defensive midfielder as well. Davy Propper made his senior debut for the Dutch national football team on June 5, 2015 against USA, replacing captain Robin van Persie in the 57th minute.
Highlighted Team (Man City):
Manchester City are the lest famous of the two major clubs based in Manchester. The club was founded in 1880, but they have been struggling in the English Premier League in the past. Nonetheless, ever since the club was purchased by Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, the Citizens have been playing an important role in the English top flight.
Manchester City won two Premier League trophies under Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini (2011/2012 and 2013/2014), but both managers eventually paid the price for some disappointing results. Man City play their home games at the Etihad Stadium and the stadium capacity is 55,097.
Manchester United are regarded as Manchester City’s biggest rivals and the likes of Kun Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Uwe Rosler, Yaya Toure, Sylvain Distin are some of the most remarkable players that played for the Etihad Stadium outfit. Manchester City have won four Premier League titles and five FA Cup trophies and it has to be noted that they made it to the Champions League semis in the 2015/2016 season.
