Hungary
Germany will be looking to build on a thrilling 4-2 win over Portugal when they take on Hungary in their last group game. Joachim Low’s troops quickly bounced back from a 1-0 loss to France, with the team regaining a much-needed confidence. Bayern Munchen midfielder Joshua Kimmich, who impressed in the triumph over Portugal, will be the man to watch in Joachim Low’s team. Both Hofmann and Klostermann are sidelined with injuries.
The Hungarians, on the other hand, did well to hold France to a 1-1 draw in their second group game. Marco Rossi’s troops managed to keep their playoffs hopes alive, but they will have a mountain to climb in Wednesday’s clash. Given Germany’s display in the victory over Cristiano Ronaldo and Co, anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise. Midfielder Daniel Gazdag is sidelined with injury for the Hungarians.
Highlighted Player (Timo Werner):
Timo Werner is a German starlet, who began his senior career at Vfb Stuttgart. The German forward, who was born in Stuttgart on March 6, 1996, scored 13 goals in 95 appearances in the league for Die Schwaben and in 2016 he moved to fellow Bundesliga side Leipzig and he impressed with the Red Bulls in the 2016/2017 Bundesliga campaign, scoring 21 goals in the process.
To make things even better for the talented attacker, he represented Germany at the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and it has to be noted that he provided an assist for Lars Stindl in the title game. Despite the fact that coach Joachim Low rested star players at the tournament in Russia, the Germans eventually won the trophy.
Timo Werner played for the Germany U17 team as well and he won the silver medal with die Mannschaft at the 2012 UEFA European Championship. His main position is centre forward, but he is used as a winger as well. Timo Werner’s contract with Leipzig should expire on June 30, 2020.

Widely known as the Mighty Magyars during the 1950’s, Hungary national team had the world at its feet as the team featuring Ferenc Puskas, Sandor Kocsis and Zoltan Czibor reached the final of the 1954 World Cup, while recording several impressive wins over England and other top sides in international friendlies.
Hungary also made it to the semi-final at the Euro 1964 and Euro 1972, but they have since largely struggled to return to old glory days. The barren run finally came to an end as Foci defeated Norway in the play-off to qualify for the Euro 2016 finals, but there still appears to be a huge gap behind the top European sides.
Long-serving goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly has managed to break a 58-year record held by Jozsef Bozsik, having surpassed the 101-cap mark, but Ferenc Puskas still remains the top goalscorer in the history of the national team with an unbelievable record of 84 goals in 85 caps, followed by Sandor Kocsis, who has 75 goals in 68 appearances.
