Pinatar Arena Football Center will host Wednesday’s football game between Valencia and Zaragoza. Los Che have been impressive in pre-season, with the team winning each of their three warm-up games. Valencia have been scoring goals for fun of late, and we are positive that they will adopt an attack-minded approach in the midweek friendly. One of the men to watch in the home team will be Russia international Denis Cheryshev, who found the net in the 3-2 win over Cartagena.
Los Blanquillos, on the other hand, quickly bounced back from a 2-0 loss to Calahorra, with the team beating Elche 2-0 in their last warm-up match. The Segunda Division side aim to give fans yet another reason for celebration, but given Valencia’s form in pre-season, we do not believe that the underdogs are capable of grabbing something from the match.
Highlighted Player (Denis Cheryshev):
Probably the most famous Russian footballer never to have played for a domestic club, Denis Cheryshev was born in Nizhny Novgorod, but began his career at Sporting Gijon as his father played for the Spanish side at the time.
The talented winger eventually caught the eye of Real Madrid and went on to spend eight years in the youth academy at Santiago Bernabeu before he was given a chance to impress on senior level. Due to a fierce competition for places in Madrid, Cheryshev was forced to gain much needed first team experience via loan spells at Sevilla, Villarreal and Valencia, and he showed a great deal of potential during those stints, proving los Blancos were wrong to let him leave.
Chersyhev has been in and out of the Russia national team since making his debut in 2012, but there is a good chance he will become an important member of Sbornaya Komanda as soon as he secures regular playing time at club level. The Russian footballer is capable of operating on either wing or through the middle, and he has proved to be quite prolific in terms of both goals and assists.

Based in the autonomous community of Aragon, Zaragoza is a Spanish football club that plays in Segunda Division. The club was founded on March 18, 1932 and it plays their home matches at the legendary La Romareda stadium.
The venue opened on September 8, 1957 has the capacity of 33,608 people. Los Blanquillos wear white shirts and blue shorts when playing on home soil, while yellow is the dominant colour of their away kit. Zaragoza did well to win the la liga trophy in the 1977/78 season, with the team finishing the campaign four points clear of second-place Recreativo de Huelva.
Speaking of the club’s European success, Zaragoza clinched the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in the 1994/95 season as they defeated 2-1 in the title game. Fabio Coentrao, Pablo Aimar, Roberto Ayala, Diego Milito, Gabriel Milito, Cafu, and David Villa are the most notable footballers who played for the club in the past. Huesca are considered the club’s main rivals.
