Rennes and Lens go head to head at Roazhon Park in a highly-anticipated season opener. Rennes have big ambitions for the 2021/2022 Ligue 1 campaign, and we are positive that they will adopt an attack-minded approach in Sunday’s clash. Les Rouges et Noirs are a real force to be reckoned with at home, and we are positive that they will find the net in the season opener.
Summer signings Kamal Sulemana and Birger Meling are likely to make their Rennes debuts against Lens. Franck Haise’s troops, on the other hand, were impressive in front of goal in pre-season, and seeing that they crushed Serie A side Udinese 4-1, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. A man to watch in the away team will be Gael Kakuta, who signed a permanent deal with the club earlier this summer.

Dalbert Henrique is a left-footed full back who plays for Ligue 1 side Nice. Born in Barra Mansa, Brazil, Henrique began his career in a local club Barra Mansa and in 2012 he moved to Fluminense. One year later the 182-cm-tall footballer joined Flamengo, but he did not play for “Mengao” at senior level.
Dalbert Henrique made his professional debut for Academio de Viseu and in 2015 he moved to Vitoria Guimaraes of Portugal. After making 25 appearances for the Primeira Liga club, the left-back joined Ligue 1 side Nice in 2016. Henrique made his debut for les Aiglons on August 14, 2016 in a league match against Stade de Rennais. Dalbert, who was born on September 8, 1993, has yet to earn a call-up for the Brazil national football team.
The Brazilian player has a contract with Nice which expires on June 30, 2021. His main position is left-back (full-back), but he is capable of playing as a left midfielder as well.

Based in the Pas-De-Calais department, Lens is a French club that plays home games at Stade Bollaert-Delelis. The Sang et Or are well known for their red shirts with yellow stripes, while black is the dominant colour of their away jersey.
The club was founded back in 1906 and the Sang et Or originally played in green and black shirts. Speaking of their home ground, Stade Bollaert-Delelis can hold up to 38,058 spectators. The venue was opened back in 1933, and renovated during the 2014/15 season. Lens did well to win the Ligue 1 trophy in the 1997/98 season, with the team finishing the process level on points with second-place Metz.
As a result, the Sang et Or represented France in the Champions League group stages the following season. The club’s biggest European success came in the 1999/00 season when they made it to the UEFA Cup semis. Lens have won two Coupe de la Ligue trophies as well.
