Our prediction for this Championship match:
There will be fireworks when Millwall and Fulham go head to head at the Den in the Championship round 3. The Lions head into the local derby following a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers, and, no doubt, they are eager to record their first win of the season. Mason Bennett remains in the recovery room, while both Matt Smith and Tom Bradshaw are pushing for a start. You should bear in mind that Millwall are eyeing their first win over Fulham since August 2014. The Cottagers, on the other hand, aim to build on a thrilling 5-1 win over Huddersfield.
Marco Silva’s troops are eyeing a quick return to the Premier League, and we are positive that they will adopt yet another attack-minded approach in Tuesday’s local derby. Considering that Millwall are a real force to be reckoned with at home, both teams to score betting option should be considered. Both Andre-Frank Anguissa and Jean-Michael Seri are on the verge of leaving the club, while Harry Wilson is banned. Ivan Cavaleiro, who scored a brace at the weekend, is pushing for a start.
Highlighted Player (Jiri Skalak ):
After starting his professional career at Sparta Prague, Jiri Skalak played for the likes of Ruzemberok, Slovacko, Zbrojovka Brno and Mlada Boleslav on loan. In the summer of 2015 the Czech player signed a permanent deal with Mlada Boleslav where he established himself as a first-team regular.
However, the pacey winger did spend too much time at the Czech club as he joined English side Brighton in the winter of 2016. Jiri Skalak signed for the Seagulls for an undisclosed fee and it has to be noted that he score his first goal for the club in a 4-0 win over QPR on April 19, 2016. After spending two seasons at the Falmer Stadium, Jiri Skalak moved to fellow English club Millwall on August 2, 2018.
Born in Pardubice (Czechoslovakia) on March 12, 1992, Skalak represents Czech Republic on the international stage. The Millwall winger has 21 caps for the Czech Republic U21 team and he received his first call-up for the senior team on August 25, 2015 for the Euro 2016 qualifying matches against Latvia and Kazakhstan.
Highlighted Team (Fulham):
Fulham are a club from London that play in the Premier League. The capital club dropped to the English second tier at the end of the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign after failing to impress in the elite competition, but managed to return in season 2018/2019.
Fulham were founded in 1879 and they play their home matches at Craven Cottage. Fulham are the oldest-established club from the English capital to have played in the top flight.
Fulham finished the 2008/2009 Premier League campaign in seventh place in the standings and that is considered the team’s biggest success, speaking of their participation in the Premier League.
The Cottagers played in the Europa League twice and they did well to reach the FA Cup final in 1975, but they were beaten by their local rivals West Ham United in the title game (0-2). Chelsea are regarded as Fulham’s bitter rivals as well and the two teams take on each other in the North London derby.
