Our prediction for this Championship match:
Vitality Stadium will host Saturday’s football game between Bournemouth and Blackpool, the two teams who sit in the opposite halves of the table. The Cherries aim to build on back-to-back wins over Nottingham Forest and Birmingham City, and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach against Blackpool. Dominic Solanke, who opened his goal-scoring account in midweek, will be the man to watch in the home team, while both Cook and Danjuma are likely to miss the game with injuries.
The Seasiders, on the other hand, do not seem to be at their sharpest ahead of Saturday’s clash, with the team failing to impress in back-to-back losses to Cardiff (0-2) and Coventry (0-1). Blackpool have been struggling in front of goal at the start of the season, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Bournemouth’s party at Vitality Stadium. All Madine, Mitchell, Virtue-Thick, and Gretarsson are all out of contention through injuries for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Joshua King):
Joshua King is a Norway international who plays for Premier League side Bournemouth as a striker. King was born in Oslo on January 15, 1992 and he started his career at the youth team of Romsas. In 2006 the Norwegian footballer moved to Valerenga and two years later he joined Premier League giants Manchester United. Nonetheless, he did not see any game action at Old Trafford as he was immediately sent on loan to Preston.
Joshua King played for the likes of Borussia M’gladbach, Hull City and Blackburn Rovers on loan as well before signing a permanent deal with the Riversiders in January, 2013. The pacey attacker scored only three goals in 56 appearances in the league for Blackburn Rovers, but in 2015 Bournemouth chiefs decided to bring him to Vitality Stadium.
Joshua King impressed in the 2016/2017 Premier League campaign, with the Norwegian striker scoring 16 goals in 36 appearances for the Cherries. King provided two assists for his teammates in the process as well.
Highlighted Team (Blackpool):
Blackpool FC are a professional English club based in Blackpool, Lancashire. Considering that Blackpool is a seaside town, it is no surprise they are nicknamed the Seasiders. Founded back in 1887, the club play their home matches at Bloomfield Road, which can hold up to 17,338 spectators. In the 2009/2010 season Blackpool secured promotion to the Premier League, but they were not competitive at this level, suffering relegation to the Championship the following season.
The club’s biggest success, though, came in 1953 when they defeated Bolton Wanderers 4-3 in the FA Cup final. Blackpool are well known for their orange shirts, but the dominant colour of their away kit is white. Preston are considered the club’s biggest rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the West Lancashire derby.
Charlie Adam, who played for Liverpool and has 26 caps for Scotland national team, is regarded as one of the club’s most notable players.
