Rangers
McDiarmid Park will host Saturday’s Premiership game between St Johnstone and Rangers. The two teams with entirely different ambitions in the 2021/2022 season. Rangers aim to defend their Premier League title, while St Johnstone are eyeing a top-six finish. The Gers quickly bounced back from a 1-0 loss to Dundee United, and given their displays in back-to-back wins over Ross County (4-2) and Celtic (1-0), away win should be considered.
Romania international Ianis Hagi should be given a rest following his participation in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, while this game comes too early for Ryan Jack. Colombia striker Alfredo Morelos is widely expected to lead the line for the title holders. The Saints, on the other hand, played out a goalless draw with St. Mirren before the international break. Given St Johnstone’s four-game winless run in the new Premiership campaign, there is a big value in betting on Steven Gerrard’s troops.

Jason Kerr is a professional footballer who plays for St Johnstone as a defender. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on February 6, 1997, Jason Kerr is a product of the St Johnstone football academy. He started his senior career in 2014, and after ending his loan spells with East Fife and Queen of the South, he returned to the McDiarmid Park outfit in 2018.
He made his debut with the Saints in the Scottish Cup game against Albion Rovers on January 29, 2019. Jason Kerr has six caps with the Scotland U21 team, but he has yet to receive a call-up for the senior team.
He scored his first goal for St Johnstone in a 4-1 defeat to Rangers on February 27, 2018. His primary position on the field is a centre-back, but he is capable of producing good displays as a central midfielder as well. His preferred foot is right, and he wears the number 15 shirt at St Johnstone.

Glasgow Rangers defeated Dynamo Moscow in the final of the competition, with the likes of Stein and Johnston (two goals) scoring for the Scottish side. Celtic are considered the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks when the two teams meet in the Old Firm derby. The likes of Paul Gascoigne, David Weir, Stefan Klos, Chris Boyd, Ian Durrant and Kenny Miller are some of Rangers’ former notable players.
It has to be noted that the Gers welcome their rivals at Ibrox Stadium, the venue with the capacity of 50,817. Rangers’ support is largely drawn from the Protestant Unionist community.
