Leeds United
Newcastle United and Leeds United face each other at St. James’ Park in the opening match of day 5. The Magpies suffered an expected 4-1 loss to Manchester United at the weekend, with the team remaining in the relegation zone, and, no doubt, they are desperate to get back on course. Key attacker Callum Wilson missed the Old Trafford clash with injury, and he is rated doubtful for Friday’s game, while Shelvey, Fraser, and Dubravka remain in the recovery room.
The Whites, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 3-0 loss to Liverpool, but they will have to do it without suspended defender Pascal Struijk. Robin Koch remains in the recovery room, but Marcelo Bielsa has no other selection worries ahead of the trip to Newcastle. Anyhow, the Whites are more of a team than the Magpies, and we predict that the visitors will prove their worth on the field.
Highlighted Player (Achraf Lazaar):
Achraf Lazaar was born in Casablanca, Morocco on January 22, 1992, but he moved to Italy with his parents in 2003. The left-footed footballer began his youth career at Raja Casablanca and he joined Varese’s youth academy in 2009.
Lazaar made his debut for the senior team in 2012. He made 37 league appearances for Varese, but he did not find the net during his spell at the Stadio Franco Ossola outfit. In January 2014 he signed a contract with Palermo and he has been playing for the Sicilian outfit ever since.Lazaar plays as a left back, but he is capable of producing fine displays as a left back as well. Seeing that he was unable to play for Italy, the Palermo footballer decided to represent Morocco on the international stage. He made his Morocco debut on 23 may, 2014 in a friendly against Mozambique. Morocco recorded a routine 4-0 win over Mozambique back then. Achraf Lazaar has a contract with Palermo which expires on 30 June, 2017.

Leeds United is one of the clubs that won the FA Cup. The Whites outplayed Arsenal in the final of the prestigious competition back in 1972, but they clinched the League Cup trophy as well. Leeds United faced the Gunners in the 1967/1968 League Cup final and it has to be noted that Terry Cooper scored the winner for the Whites.
Leeds play their home games at Elland Road and the capacity of the stadium is 37,914. The club was founded in 1919 and they have won three First Division (Premier League) trophies ever since (1968/1969, 1973/1974, 1991/1992). Leeds United made it to the Champions League final in 1975, but they were beaten by Bayern Munich in the title clash.
The Whites were impressive under David O’Leary. The likes of Jonathan Woodgate, Lee Bowyer, Harry Kewell, Mark Viduka and Ian Harte were part of the Elland Road outfit back then and they did well to reach the semis of the Champions League in 2001.
