Our prediction for this Premier League match:
After suffering a heart-breaking loss to Man City at the weekend, Chelsea will be aiming to stay in the title race when they take on Southampton at their Stamford Bridge. The Blues failed to impress in the Premier League derby, but they are still seen as hot favourites to beat Southampton on home soil. Chelsea are eyeing their third home win of the process, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. Christian Pulisic remains in the treatment room, while Mason Mount returns to the starting XI. Summer signing Romelu Lukaku is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts.
The Saints, on the other hand, produced a fine display against Wolverhampton, but thanks to Raul Jimenez’s beautiful goal the Wolves eventually picked up all three points from the match. Since Chelsea have turned their Stamford Bridge into a real fortress, the visitors are likely to return home empty-handed. This match comes too early for Theo Walcott, with Stuart Armstrong and Jack Stephens missing out as well. Armando Broja is ineligible to face his parent club.
