Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg face each other in a highly-anticipated Bundesliga game at BayArena. Leverkusen dropped two points in a 2-2 draw with Koln, and, no doubt, they are determined to return to winning ways in the German top flight. However, home win should not be considered as top scorer Patrick Schick suffered an injury at the weekend. All Karim Bellarabi, Charles Aranguiz, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, and Piero Hincapie are out of contention with injuries, while Moussa Diaby is banned.
The Wolves, on the other hand, suffered a dip in form. Wolfsburg are eager to put an end to their four-game losing run in the Bundesliga, and they should take advantage of the current situation in Bayer’s recovery room. As for the visiting team, all Mehmedi, Roussillon, Waldschmidt, Schlager, William, and Bialek miss out with injuries, while both Niklas Klinger and Wouter Weghorst have been tested positive for COVID-19.
Highlighted Player (Charles Aránguiz):
Charles Aranguiz is a Chilean footballer who plays for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen as a midfielder. Aranguiz spent his youth career at Universidad de Chile and Cobreloa and he continued playing for los Zorros del desierto at senior level.
The Chilean footballer spent some time on loan at Cobresal as well before joining Colo-Colo in 2009. After playing for the likes of Quilmes, Universidad de Chile and Internacional from 2010 to 2015, Charles Aranguiz signed a contract with Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen on August 13, 2015. Speaking of his international career, Aranguiz has four caps for Chile U20 team and he made his debut for the senior squad in 2009.
The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder was not selected for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, but he represented La Roja at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Charles Aranguiz was born in Puente Alto (Santiago) on April 17, 1989. His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as both defensive and right midfielder as well. Aranguiz’s preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Wolfsburg):
Wolfsburg are a German football club founded in the aftermath of the World War II (1945). Die Wolfe (The Wolves) wear green and white shirts and they play their home games at Volkswagen Arena. The capacity of the stadium is 30,000 and it was opened on 13 December, 2002.
It is well known that German car manufacturer Volkswagen are the club’s main sponsors. Wolfsburg won the Bundesliga trophy in 2009 and the likes of Edin Dzeko, Grafite and Zvjezdan Misimovic were part of the club’s golden generation.
You should bear in mind that Grafite and Dzeko scored 54 goals between each other in the 2008/2009 Bundesliga campaign and that the team clinched the trophy thanks to a 5-1 win over Werder Bremen on 23 May, 2009. Die Wolfe won the German Cup trophy in 2015, with the team beating star-studded Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in the title game. Wolfsburg are a team that has no bitter rivals in German football.
