Wigan Athletic and Accrington square off against each other at DW Stadium on Matchday 26. The Latics aim to build on a 3-2 win over Oxford United, and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. Wigan Athletic have been in a fine form of late, and given their attacking potential, home win should be considered. Keep in mind, though, that the Latics have not been in action since December 18, 2021.
A man to watch in the home team will be experienced winger James McClean, who found the net in the triumph over Oxford. The Accy Stanley, on the other hand, aim to stay in top ten, but seeing that Wigan are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we do not believe that the visitors are capable of grabbing something from the match.

Jason Kerr is a professional footballer who plays for St Johnstone as a defender. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on February 6, 1997, Jason Kerr is a product of the St Johnstone football academy. He started his senior career in 2014, and after ending his loan spells with East Fife and Queen of the South, he returned to the McDiarmid Park outfit in 2018.
He made his debut with the Saints in the Scottish Cup game against Albion Rovers on January 29, 2019. Jason Kerr has six caps with the Scotland U21 team, but he has yet to receive a call-up for the senior team.
He scored his first goal for St Johnstone in a 4-1 defeat to Rangers on February 27, 2018. His primary position on the field is a centre-back, but he is capable of producing good displays as a central midfielder as well. His preferred foot is right, and he wears the number 15 shirt at St Johnstone.

Founded back in 1891 and reformed in 1968, Accrington Stanley are an English football club that compete in the League One. The original team competed in the Football League from 1921 to 1962, spending the last four seasons in Lancashire Combination.
The Accy are well known for their red home kit, whilst they wear sky blue shirts and white shorts when playing on the travels. The League One side play their home games at Crown Ground, the stadium which can hold up to 5,450 spectators (3,100 seated). Accrington have been playing at Crown Ground since 1970.
Listed as the all-time favourite player amongst fans, Chris Grimshaw is one of the most famous Accrington Stanley footballers. However, George Stewart is the team’s top scorer, netting 136 goals in total from 1954 to 1958. It has to be noted that the Accy have yet to represent England in European competitions.
