Our prediction for this Championship match:
Wednesday’s football game at Select Car Leasing Stadium pits together Reading and Fulham, the two teams with entirely different ambitions for the remainder of the season. Reading’s main goal is to secure yet another Championship survival, while Fulham are eyeing automatic promotion to the Premier League. The Royals are eager to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to West Brom, and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against Fulham.
All Clarke, Morrison, Rinomhota, McIntyre, Meite, and Joao are out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team. The Cottagers, on the other hand, made a flying start to the season, but given their anything but brilliant form, we are tempted to put our money on draw. Forward Ivan Cavaleiro should be the only absentee in the away side.
Highlighted Player (Junior Hoilett):
Junior Hoilett began his youth career at Blackburn Rovers and he spent five years at Ewood Park. After ending his loan spells with German sides Paderborn and St. Pauli Junior Hoilett returned to Blackburn Rovers and it has to be noted that he scored his first goal for the Riversiders in a pre-season friendly against Leigh Genesis.
Speaking of competitive games, the Canada international netted his first goal for Blackburn in a 3-1 League Cup victory over Gillingham. In 2012 the pacey winger joined Queens Park Rangers and he played for the capital club from 2012 to 2016. In October 2016 Junior Hoilett signed a deal with Cardiff City and he made his debut for the Championship side on October 14 against Bristol City.
Hoilett was born in Brampton, Ontario and, as a result, he represents Canada on the international stage. He made his Canada debut in a 1-1 draw with Ghana in an international friendly.
Highlighted Team (Fulham):
Fulham are a club from London that play in the Premier League. The capital club dropped to the English second tier at the end of the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign after failing to impress in the elite competition, but managed to return in season 2018/2019.
Fulham were founded in 1879 and they play their home matches at Craven Cottage. Fulham are the oldest-established club from the English capital to have played in the top flight.
Fulham finished the 2008/2009 Premier League campaign in seventh place in the standings and that is considered the team’s biggest success, speaking of their participation in the Premier League.
The Cottagers played in the Europa League twice and they did well to reach the FA Cup final in 1975, but they were beaten by their local rivals West Ham United in the title game (0-2). Chelsea are regarded as Fulham’s bitter rivals as well and the two teams take on each other in the North London derby.
