Bolton and Ipswich face each other at University of Bolton Stadium in what is expected to be a close League One encounter. The Trotters aim to put an end to their four-game losing run, but they will have a mountain to climb in Saturday’s football match. Both Josh Sheehan and Lloyd Isgrove are sidelined with injuries, with Jones and Delfouneso pushing for a start. The Tractor Boys, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Wycombe (1-0) and Gillingham (4-0).
Ipswich Town impressed in the crushing of the Gills, and given Bolton’s shaky defence, away win should be considered. The pacey right-back made only one appearance for the Toffees as he played against Krasnodar in the Europa League 2013/2014 season. Gethin Jones played for the likes of Plymouth Argyle (loan), Barnsley (loan), Fleetwood Town, and Mansfield Town (loan) as well before joining his current club Carlisle United. Jones is eligible to play for Australia and Wales despite playing for the Wales U17, U19, and U21 teams in the past.
He made his League Two debut with Carlisle United in a 3-2 win over Stevenage on September 14, 2019. Jones’ main position is right-back, but he is used as both right midfielder and left-back as well. His preferred foot is right.
