Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Following a thrilling 5-1 win over Lille, PSG will look to cement top position in the standings when they take on Rennes at Parc des Princes on Friday evening. Les Parisiens are on the right track to defend their Ligue 1 trophy, but, no doubt, they want to get their job done in the national championship as soon as possible. Both Idrissa Gueye and Abdou Diallo are back from international duty, while Neymar remains in the recovery room. Angel Di Maria should recover in time to face les Rouges et Noirs.
Rennes, on the other hand, quickly bounced back from a shocking 2-1 loss to Clermont, with the team beating Brest 2-0 in front of home fans. Les Rouges et Noirs, on the other hand, are on a three-match losing run on the road, and they are unlikely to shock the league leaders in the “City of Lights”. Goalkeeper Alfred Gomis returns from international duty, while all Ugochukwu, Doku, Tait, Salin, and Gelin miss out with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Lionel Messi):
Lionel Messi is regarded as one of the best players in the history of football. He was born on 24 June, 1987 in Rosario and he began his football career at Newell’s Old Boys. In the 2011/2012 La Liga campaign Messi scored 50 goals for Barca, while netting 14 goals in the 2011/2012 Champions League campaign. The five-time Golden Ball award winner has established himself as Barcelona’s all-time top scorer, but he has yet to win a trophy with Argentina national team at major tournaments. Leo Messi, though, has won Olympic Gold Medal (2008) and FIFA World Youth Championship (2005), with la Albiceleste.
