Our prediction for this Bundesliga 2 match:
Audi Sportpark will host Saturday’s football game between Ingolstadt and St. Pauli, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the remainder of the season. Ingolstadt are eager to keep their survival hopes alive, and they are likely to leave their hearts on the field. Both Caniggia Ginola Elva and Tobias Schrock are out of contention through injuries, while Stefan Kutschke is a major doubt following his recent positive test for coronavirus.
St. Pauli, on the other hand, aim to make amends for a heavy 3-0 loss to Hannover. Timo Schultz’s troops are eager to climb to automatic promotion berth, and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. St. Pauli are more of a team than Ingolstadt, and seeing that key players should start, away win should be considered. All Ziereis, Lawrence, Wieckhoff, and Avevor miss out with injuries for the away side.
Highlighted Player (Marvin Matip):
Marvin Matip was born in Bochum on 25 September, 1985 and he began his senior career at Bochum. He played 33 league games for the reserve team, while making just one appearance for the first team. In 2005 he joined Koln and in 2010 he was sent on loan to Karlsruher. After ending his loan spell with Karlsruher, the right-footed centre back signed a contract with Ingolstadt.
Matip was born in Germany, but seeing that his father is Cameroonian, he decided to represent the African team on the international stage. The Karlsruher defender, who is capable of playing as a defensive midfielder as well, make his Cameroon debut on 2 June, 2013 in a friendly against Ukraine. However, it has to be noted that he has 22 caps for Germany U21 team.
He played for Germany at the 2006 U21 European Championship. Marvin Matip scored two goals in 33 appearances for Ingolstadt in the 2015/2016 Bundesliga campaign. His contract with Ingolstadt expires on 30 June, 2018.
