Our prediction for this Championship match:
Buoyed by a 2-0 win over Cardiff City, Middlesbrough will look to climb to the playoffs berth when they host Stoke City to their Riverside Stadium on Saturday. The Boro regained a much-needed confidence on Wednesday, with the team moving closer to top six, but they face yet another must-win situation against Stoke. Matt Crooks is back from suspension, while Dael Fry remains on the sidelines with injury.
The Potters, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Blackburn and Queens Park Rangers. Stoke City, though, are stuck in the middle of the table, and given the importance of Saturday’s clash for the Boro, home win should be considered. All Jordan Thompson, Nick Powell, and Harry Souttar are out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the away team.
