Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Abbey Stadium will host Saturday’s clash between Cambridge United and Cheltenham Town, the two teams who are almost level on points in the League One table. The U’s suffered a heavy 5-1 loss to Sunderland in their last league match, with the team dropping to 14th place in the table. Cambridge aim to give fans some cheer on the last day of the season, and they are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach.
Keep in mind, though, that defender Lloyd Jones misses out through suspension after he was sent off in the Stadium of Light showdown. The Robins, on the other hand, aim to make amends for back-to-back losses to Lincoln and Bolton. Cheltenham Town want to finish the season in style as well, and, taking everything into account, both teams to score betting option should be considered. Talented midfielder Aaron Ramsey is pushing for a start, while Ben Williams is major doubt.
Highlighted Player (Liam O’Neil):
Born in Cambridge, England on July 31, 1993, Liam O’Neil is an English footballer who plays as both defender as midfielder for Cambridge United in the League Two. O’Neil is a product of the Cambridge United football school, but he played for Histon during his youth career as well.
In the summer of 2012 he joined WBA youth academy, and it has to be noted that he made three appearances for the Baggies at senior level in all competitions. Liam O’Neil played for the likes of VPS and Scunthorpe United on loan as well before joining Chesterfield in 2015.
After scoring two goals in 45 appearances for the club in the league, O’Neil moved to Cambridge United in the winter of 2017. As his mother comes from Wales, O’Neil is open to play for the Wales national team, but he has yet to earn a cap with the Dragons.
