Monday’s football game at Estadi Nacional pits together Andorra and Moldova, the two teams who meet for the first time since October 2019. Back then Andorra defeated Moldova thanks to Marc Vales’ goal, meaning that the visitors are hungry for revenge. Since the Andorrans failed to impress in their UEFA Nations League opener against Latvia (0-3) home win should not be considered.
Both Bernat and Vieira are pushing for a start, speaking of the home side. The former Soviet republic, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-0 win over Liechteinstein. Moldova are more of a team than Andorra, and even though Koldo Alvarez's troops are tough to beat at home, we are tempted to put our money on the visiting side. The right-footed defender currently plays for Sheriff Tiraspol as a centre-back, but he started his senior career at Stantul Gheorghe. It has to be noted that he played for his home-town club Dacia Chisinau from 2012 to 2017.
Veaceslav Posmac made his Sheriff debut on July 9, 2017 in a 5-0 win over Zaria and he did remarkably well to score on his debut. The 188-cm tall defender plays for Moldova as well and he made his debut for the national team in a 2-1 win over Kyrgyzstan on June 14, 2013.
Veaceslav Posmac scored his first ever goal for Moldova on January 15, 2014in a 2-1 loss to Norway. The Moldavian defender is very good in the air and despite the fact that his main position is centre-back he often scores goals after set-pieces. Veaceslav Posmac wears No. 90 on his shirt.

Seeing that they were a part of Soviet Union until 1991, Moldova played their first game as an independent country on July 2, 1991. The Moldovans were beaten by Georgina in front of home fans in Chisinau, but the following year the team recorded their biggest win on the international stage as they rolled over Pakistan 5-0 in Amman, Jordan.
The former Soviet republic have yet to qualify for the finals of the World Cup or the European Championship, but they recorded a couple of thrilling wins in the past. Moldova crushed Montenegro 5-2 in Podgorica in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, but they eventually failed to book their place at the showpiece tournament in Brazil.
The Moldovans were producing fine showings under Igor Dobrovolskiy in the 2008 European Championship qualifiers as well and it has to be noted that they hammered Hungary 3-0 at Stadionul Zimbru on November 17, 2007. Russian Premier League star Alexandru Gatcan is considered one of the most famous Moldavian footballers.
