Ajax
After rolling over Excelsior 7-1 at Johan Cruijff Arena, Ajax will look to retain top position in the Eredivisie table when they take on RKC on Saturday. The Amsterdammers are eyeing their third consecutive league win, but head coach Alfred Schreuder must warn his men against complacency. Captain Dusan Tadic, who impressed in the crushing of Excelsior, will be the man to watch in the away side, while pacey striker Brian Brobbey should keep his place in the starting XI.
Both Devyne Rensch and Ahmetcan Kaplan are sidelined with injuries, speaking of the away team. The hosts, on the other hand, aim to extend their unbeaten run to five games, but they will have a mountain to climb in Saturday’s clash. Given RKC’s seven-game losing run in encounters with Ajax, anything but a routine away triumph would be a major surprise. Joseph Oosting should have a full squad to choose from.

Vurnon Anita is yet another product of famous Ajax youth football academy. The defensive midfielder made a great progress during his spell with the Eredivisie outfit as he played for the first team from 2006 to 2012. During the 2011/2012 season Anita was on Newcastle United’s radar, but Ajax chiefs rejected Newcastle’s first bid for the player.
Nonetheless, the two clubs eventually came to an agreement and the Dutch footballer moved to St. James’ Park in the summer of 2012. Vurnon Anita signed for the Magpies for a fee of £6.7 million and he made his Newcastle debut on August 18, 2012 in a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the opening game of the season.
After making 133 appearances in the league for the Magpies, Anita joined Leeds United on July 6, 2017, signing a three-year deal with the Championship club. Vurnon Anita made his debut for Netherlands in a 2-1 win over Mexico in May, 2010. His main position is defensive midfield, but he can play as a full-back as well.

Ajax is a Dutch football club that was founded on 18 March, 1900. Ajax are well known for their youth academy, which regarded as one of the best youth football schools in the world. The likes of Johan Cruijff, Edwin van der Sar, Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Kluivert, Rafael van der Vaart and Marco van Basten are all products of Ajax’s football academy. The Amsterdammers share a big rivalry with Feyenoord and there have always been fireworks when the two teams face each other in De Klassieker.
